SISO and the Virtual Events Institute Announce Certification Member Benefit

The Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO), the international body for companies who own, produce, or provide full-service management of events, have announced that the Virtual Events Institute (VEI) certified training program becomes an official member benefit discount to SISO members.

The mission of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) is to meet their members' common needs by providing peer networking opportunities, education, industry information, and best practices in the industry. VEI will provide an official discount to SISO members for its online education platform dealing with all aspects relating to the production, promotion, and monetization of online and hybrid events.

The Virtual Events Institute was established to provide knowledge and training in online and hybrid events to global event and marketing professionals. The 11 module on-demand, flexible VEI certification program allows event professionals to learn at their own pace, from leading subject matter experts, and receive an industry-recognized qualification.

Speaking of the partnership, Doug Emslie, SISO Chair and Tarsus Group CEO, "The pandemic has accelerated the use of digital services that our members provide to their customers. Working with VEI will help our members continue to refine and improve their digital offerings and we are also excited to continue to share best practice to deliver more opportunities for our member customers to learn, network and do commerce."

Sophie Ahmed, CEO and co-founder, VEI, said, "SISO is known for driving excellence in events and its members are event industry leaders. This partnership perfectly aligns with our mission of driving innovation and excellence in online and hybrid events. By providing training we are helping to facilitate exceptional digital event experiences. As online and hybrid events continue to offer new avenues to expand global reach, develop new revenue streams, gain greater data, and grow communities, it is key that event professionals have the skills to capitalize on these opportunities."
