TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Virtual Event Awards are administered and organized by Virtual Events Institute Limited

 

ENTRY PROCESS:

The awards are open to event organizers, agencies, suppliers and technology providers operating in events of any sort throughout the world.
These can be B2B or B2C.

The entered event, product or project is for the period 1 January 2020 to 31st December 2020. 

Entries must be made by completing the entry form on the awards website

You must have permission to enter this entry from the commissioning client / brand owning company. Failure to do so may result in your entry being removed from the competition without a refund.
 

The entry must represent an event, product or service that has actually taken place and is not speculative or conceptual.
 

An event, supplier company or technology platform may enter in multiple relevant categories.
 

All entries submitted must be legal. Any entries containing illegal or offensive material will be disqualified.
 

The organizer reserves the right to reject any entry that is deemed inappropriate

 

PAYMENT:

Payment for the entry / entries must be made in full before the entered work will be accepted into the awards.
 

Prices are set out on the website and include all administration fees. All payments must be made in US$.
 

Any entry incentive, such as multiple entries for a discount, will be subject to availability. The organizer reserves the right to add, change or remove entry incentives at any time.

Payment for entries must be made via the Virtual Event Awards entry platform using one of the payment options listed.

Entrants may remove their entry from the competition at any point. Entry fee refunds will not be given under any circumstance.
Should an entrant wish to remove an entry, they may enter another project in its place provided this alternative entry matches entry criteria.

 

JUDGING:

Winning entries will be those which, in the opinion and sole discretion of the panel of judges, best meet the judging criteria. We have a large pool of varied professionals within the judging panel to avoid bias. Any judge, with any personal interest or in any way related to a category will not be able to cast their judgement for that category.

Judging is conducted anonymously and impartially.

Judges will assess entries and a shortlist will be announced following the closing date.

The organizers are not held responsible for any emails, calls or other forms of correspondence that do not arrive at the VEI Virtual Events Awards for reasons outside the organizer’s control.

The judges’ decisions shall be final and binding in all respects on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.
 

WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

The winners will be notified by email and a list of the winners will be published on the VEI Virtual Event Awards website and social media websites.
The winning entries will be collated into a website directory and digital assets. If appropriate high-res images are not provided for this, the winner profile will be published without images.

VEI Virtual Event Awards bear no responsibility for loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of participation and/or involvement in the awards.
 

DISCLAIMER

The information given in these Terms and Conditions is correct, but the VEI Virtual Event Awards reserve the right to change any of it without prior notice.

By entering the awards, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
 

Any breach of these Terms by an entrant will void their entry.
 

If a breach has occurred, but is discovered after the award of a prize, then the organizers may require the return of that prize.
 

If the awards are abandoned, cancelled or suspended in whole or in part by reason of war, fire, national emergency, labour dispute, strike, lockout, civil disturbance, unavoidable accident, the non-availability of the venue premises, failure of software beyond the organizer’s control or any other cause not within the control of the organizers whether ejusdem generis or not, the organizers shall be under no obligation to compensate participants in any way with associated costs (e.g. entry fees or sponsorship fees).

PRIVACY

VEI Virtual Event Awards web Privacy Policy applies to the awards and to the use of the website.
